CompositesWorld, the trade publication serving the global composites manufacturing industry, invites you to attend “CW Tech Days: Emerging Materials and Technologies for Infrastructure and Construction, an interactive webinar sponsored by Composites One (Schaumburg, Ill., U.S.) that will be held December 1, 2022.
With the infrastructure bill passed, the U.S. will see a decade of sustained investment and activity in infrastructure construction and rehabilitation. Composite materials are expected to play a significant role in this effort. Further, as the building and construction industry increasingly favors sustainable materials and designs, composites are expected to be
specified for use in a variety of applications.
This event is sponsored by Composites One.
In eight 30-minute sessions, experts will offer presentations to review
and evaluate the composite materials, processes and applications that
should and will be considered for use in the infrastructure and construction
markets. Topics include fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) rebar, bridge building, bridge repair, rail structures, marine structures and composites design for commercial construction. CW Tech Days will run from 11 a.m. ET to 3:00 p.m. ET (3:00-7:00 p.m. GMT).
Presentations, including the list of speakers and their topics, include:
- “How the composites industry must evolve to enable wider adoption in Infrastructure and construction” – Presented by Robert Walker, analyst, Future Materials Group
- “Carbon fiber structural reinforcement in civil engineering: Largely untapped potential” – Presented by Romain Coullette, sales director, Epsilon Composite
- “Sustainable materials for the future of transportation infrastructure” –Presented by Ken Sweeney, president and chief engineer, AIT Bridges
- “FRP connections offer new ways to move people” – Presented by Scott Reeve, business development, Creative Composites Group
- “Innovative FRP solutions for repair of aging critical infrastructure” – Presented by Mo Ehsani, CEO, QuakeWrap
- “Key attributes and benefits of FRP composites for infrastructure and construction applications” – Presented by Joe Fox, president, FX Consulting LLC
- “Forward-thinking composites for infrastructure” – Presented by Francesco Ierullo, head of sales: Americas, Exel Composites
- “Nonmetallic reinforcement in concrete construction – what engineers should know” – Presented by Aparna Deshmukh, technical director, NEx: ACI Center of Excellence of Nonmetallic Building Materials; and William Gold, senior engineer, American Concrete Institute (ACI)
Register today to attend these webinars live or watch at your convenience on-demand! Cost to attend is $149.
