Advanced materials group Diamorph Group (Manchester, U.K.) announces an investment of £6 million (more than $7.3 million USD) to support manufacturing of composite materials and bearings at its Gloucester, U.K. facility.

The Gloucester facility, previously known as Permali before Diamorph acquired the company in 2021, serves as Diamorph’s primary composites and polymer materials (CPM) manufacturing site. Along with Permali, this facility will also soon house the brands Tenmat Composites and Railko, Diamorph says, and serve industries such as F1, defense, marine, aerospace and rail.

So far, Diamorph says it plans to invest £6 million in developing a state-of-the-art fabrication center and offices at the Gloucester location. In addition, the location is hiring more than 70 positions, including manufacturing operatives, lab technicians, quality inspectors, CNC managers, and warehouse and logistics supervisors.

Tony Beswick, managing director of the CPM business, says, “Diamorph works on some really demanding projects, for example Permali has the prestigious honor of supplying composite parts to all Formula 1 teams on the grid as well as applications on passenger airliners — you’ve probably sat on a plane with our products on! Diamorph invests in its people and with so many exciting opportunities coming up we hope to involve the whole community in its growth and successes.”

Along with the CPM business unit, Diamorph also operates manufacturing facilities and offices to support business units in high-temperature solutions and passive fire protection.
