Hypetex (London, U.K.) has officially rebranded as Hypetex Coloured Advanced Materials (Hypetex CAM), a new name that reflects its mission to be a leader in the visual advanced materials sector. As Hypetex CAM, the company will continue to provide high-quality colored advanced materials and comprehensive end-to-end services for projects involving composites manufacturing.

Emerging from the world of F1 technology, Hypetex CAM has continually evolved, expanding its capabilities to offer innovative colorization across a variety of advanced materials. Its focus on sustainability, alongside the expansion of its portfolio and services, enables it to meet the growing needs of a diverse range of industries.

Over the past few years, Hypetex CAM says its offerings have grown significantly, starting with its flagship product, Hypetex, which adds vibrant color to carbon fiber without compromising mechanical and technical properties. Hypetex CAM has since broadened its focus to include a wider array of advanced materials. One of its key additions is FlaxTex, a natural fiber and sustainable alternative to carbon fiber.

Its collection of technologies features Kromaskin, used by adidas over the past 5 years to advance its field hockey sticks. Moreover, Hypetex CAM’s latest trademark, PrismFibre, targets specialist materials, structures and processes in the horology market. Beyond carbon and flax fibers, Hypetex CAM provides colorization to other technical fibers such as glass, aramid and basalt.

Its advanced materials have been successfully applied across various products and industries, from the wheels on the Ford Mustang and the body of the BAC Mono R, to high-profile design pieces by Zaha Hadid and Aston Martin, and the marine sector, among others.

Recently, Hypetex CAM launched a new Special Projects Division dedicated to bringing unique customer projects to life. This division offers comprehensive services including product design, material analysis and specification, prototyping, upscale engineering, manufacturing support, in-house testing and product simulation.

Under the new brand, Hypetex CAM says it continues to provide the technology and expertise needed to help brands innovate, creating increasingly sustainable and lightweight products and structures that achieve a distinctive visual impact.
