This year’s CAMX, the largest composites industry trade show in North America, will be held Oct. 30 – Nov. 2, 2023 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga., U.S.
CAMX is organized and presented jointly by the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) and the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA, Arlington, Va., U.S.), and attracts roughly 500 exhibitors and more than 6,000 attendees each year from across the industry. Event organizers report a mix of long-time exhibitors and new faces this year, as well as a strong international exhibitor presence.
Out on the floor, exhibitors will be showcasing an array of the latest products, processes and materials available for composites fabrication, and the CW team has compiled a list of exhibit previews to help you prepare for the show, some of which can be viewed in the following pages. The rest will be available in the upcoming October issue, and here on the website.
In addition to exhibits, this year’s show will again provide a range of educational and networking opportunities.
Keynote, conference and networking

CAMX 2023 will kickstart with General Session keynote speaker Joan Higginbotham, former NASA astronaut and director of open innovation at Collins Aerospace (Charlotte, N.C., U.S.), and current president of aerospace consulting firm Joan Higginbotham Ad Astra LLC.
The second day of the show will open with featured presentation “Good Day, CAMX.” The inaugural “Good Day, CAMX” was held at CAMX 2022, featuring a panel on next-generation thermoplastic aerostructures.
Conference sessions, technical papers, poster sessions and education sessions on a range of topics will be provided throughout the show. You can find the most updated information on educational programming at thecamx.org/conference-program.
Also on this year’s CAMX schedule are award ceremonies and receptions celebrating the announcement of the CAMX Awards, Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE), SAMPE Awards and ACMA Membership Awards, as well as networking events geared toward first-time attendees, young professionals and individual market segments.
Pre- and Post-CAMX tours
This year, CAMX is hosting exclusive tours of three Atlanta area facilities before and after the event. On Monday, Oct. 30, two tour groups are traveling to Massivit Americas Experience Center to experience high-speed, large-scale 3D printing technology. On Thursday, Nov. 2, tours are available at airline maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider Delta TechOps, and Lockheed Martin’s Marietta location where the F-35 and C-130J are produced.
Each tour costs a transportation fee of $65 and has limited participant availability. To find out more information about each tour and to register, visit thecamx.org/tours.
Registration
For all packages, early bird registration costs for both ACMA or SAMPE members and non-members extends until Sept. 15, 2023. Prices increase to the regular rates starting Sept. 16, and then increase to on-site rates starting Oct. 28 (see table below for details). For full information about what is included in each package, and to register, visit thecamx.org/registration.
